that’d left me feeling dead chuffed…

Then there was the appointment that wasn’t – another one. Realizing that much of my gastric complaint on the right is stress-related, I’d read a leaflet in the health shop in the village with interest. I’d read of a lady who practices neural linguistics to aid issues like mine.

Well, getting in touch with her had been fun, as one of the phone numbers on the leaflet was that of the shop and, I’d ended up talking to a relative of the shop owner.

When I had phoned the other number I’d ended up leaving a message on an answering machine – being fairly specific as to why I needed help. As I find it hard to open up, just that intro wasn’t easy for me… Anyway, she did return my call and, I’d ended up having a pretty intense conversation about me, neural linguistics and, how it might be of use to me: and, how much it would cost.

As we’d talked I’d thought to myself, ‘here’s something I don’t know of.’

So an appointment had been made and, Friday after shopping I’d rushed to catch my bus, only cottoning onto the fact that I had the housekeys on me still. And, knowing how my Dad would freak when he found out, I’d got a taxi when I got to the village, on a ‘wait and return.’

Then having got back to where I’d been, I had made my way to the Herbarium, where I’d be seeing the lady practicing neural linguistics, still feeling more than a degree of trepidation at the idea of opening up, so any therapy undertaken could be undertaken.

“She’s never late,” I’d been assured, but she had been. In fact she’d been so late I’d not suck around after twenty minutes - and, I got a taxi to the ‘Pool, for a much-needed whiskey and some retail therapy at the comic shop, ‘Worlds Apart.’

I did go back to the shop on the Monday, to get some Hemp which aids my diet. I’d mentioned what had happened, or rather not happened and, told Lynne the owner that I’d rather not pursue it, to which she’d said; “Perhaps it wasn’t to be.”

Well, that’d been a truth made evident.

Then as I’d written at the end of the night, I’d checked my emails: Karl had ordered the figure for m, I stressed over losing out on the other week. Needless to say, that’d left me feeling dead chuffed…

...you know you're ill when

Well, while many are being taken off Pip, I got the benefit. And then, it was suspended as… they couldn’t find my account. Needless to say, this is while they’re still paying me my ‘normal’ benefit.

Then the money came through – and, although on my bad days I am, bad… I still felt a tad guilty about the size of the amount, at first…

And then…

It took ten seconds to drink a scotch on the way to the station, after hospital.

It was hot and I’d felt rotten walking up the hill: it seems mushrooms are a new no-no.

As I sat down, Hannah the nutritionist had mentioned I had missed an appointment with the fellow I’m annoyed with --- the patronizing professor.

I had laughed and said have I? then added, I hope someone asks why.

Tho, truth be told… he did not notify me of an appointment… or, it got lost in the post?... Pass. Either way, I knew nish.

Then, as I learned in a letter on Friday, I've been discharged from the clinic for missing an appointment that didn't exist.

A letter has been written to ‘his’ superior and, my doctor… so far. I’m just not taking this sitting down… well, maybe sitting, if my knees are aching!

Thankfully the weathers been alright; rain at the right times and sun when I’ve been out and about… like travelling to and from Pete ‘n Vicki’s, on a sunny Sunday, prior to making Dad’s evening meal… Pete got The War Dalek out of that trip, something he had wanted… I’d enjoyed the dinner I’d made.

Then there was the young woman from the charity shop in the village where I take things and, have done since Mum died.

She and I seemed to have similar interests and, talked quite a bit. Well, one day we ment in the village outside the shop and the thing we had seemed to be still there.

She had even seemed happy for me to take her photo. It was as we’d chatted that someone passed that we both knew, separately. He’s taking to blanking me, but acknowledged her and, I’d not been rude about him. It seems he had been about me though: she wasn’t at the shop when expected and, has seemingly ignored me since that day, completely.

My only consolation is I think I know why: his missus wanted me.

Which brings me to an early morning as I wrote: I’d thought I’d heard a corn horn go twice outside my home. Then, minutes later the door knocker went and, once again I’d been thankful that once Dad’s asleep nothing seems to wake him.

It had been Amanda, a tad drunk again… and, as I found out, she needed to arm wrestle me again. When I’d beat her again, she’d berated the maker for women being less strong than men. It had annoyed her.

And, although there’d been a very real physical connection, it does seem to be when she’s drunk. And, I’m glad she got home alright.

And then there was the Thursday when I assuredly wished that I’d stayed in bed. But, Dad and I had done the housework. Then I’d taken it in my head that I should have been paid, so went to the Cheshire in the village. Then when I’d learned my money wasn’t as expected, I’d gone for my bus, after doing some shopping. Somewhere between here and there, I’d lost a wallet containing over a hundred pounds or so.

Thankfully Dad had not remonstrated with me, more than I had myself.
